Frequently Asked Questions
Closed-cell EVA foam is a marine-safe, non-absorbent foam that won’t hold water, making it ideal for marine environments. It’s slip-resistant, comfortable underfoot, and resists fading, peeling, and staining—durable even in harsh weather.
We offer both options. Depending on your location, we can install your decking on-site at the boat’s current location or bring the boat to our shop for installation. Our mobile crews handle digitizing, CAD rendering, CNC cutting, and full installation.
Typically, we offer a 1-week turnaround from scanning / measurement to installation when scheduling allows. This means you can get back on the water quickly.
Yes! We offer custom artwork, colors, logos, and patterns incorporated into the foam deck design so your boat looks as unique as it performs.
All Hi-Tech Deck installations come with a Lifetime Warranty (for as long as you own the boat). That covers defects, peeling, staining, or failures under normal use conditions.
Our EVA foam is engineered to resist UV fading, staining, and peeling. With proper cleaning and care, the deck should maintain its appearance and performance for years.

To ensure the best results, we ask that the deck surface is clean, dry, and free from old adhesive or contaminants. Our team will handle final prep, but removing loose hardware or items helps the process.
Yes. Our foam decking can be removed or replaced if needed. Because we use adhesive systems designed for strong but reversible bonds (when needed), future updates or repairs are possible.
Minimal maintenance is needed. Generally:
- Rinse with fresh water
- Use mild soap and a soft brush
- Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbing
- Avoid dragging heavy metal objects across the surface
